This Day

Kaftans

One of the things I love watching in Bollywood movies, and anything Arabic are their women's dresses specially kaftans. I am enchanted of it. Its designs and colors are tapestries that should not be missed by someone who has the eye for what is exotic. They exude the richness of the culture and history of their origins. Though they were mainly worn by men in Islamic courts before today kaftans become a wardrobe staple for some. Here in Davao City you find their abundance in those stores that inhabits Aldevinco's commercial complex. We being in a tropic country like the Philippines has the luxury to wear kaftans on a daily basis. The soft material that flows freely shaping your frame spells comfort especially on hot days.  The way the fabric flows lightly let out a hint of easy sexiness. It goes freely with your flip-flops, a ballet or a gladiator shoes. I wore mine with the latter to a night event, early that day I had my ballet shoes to go with it.
